My 7 year old son for the last week has been saying he wants to kill people including me. he has been depressed and acting out in school. we are suposed to go to court tomorrow to finalize our custody agreement changing custody from living with dad and me having every other weekend to pretty close to 50:50. I am worried for my sons health that changing houses ever few days is not best for him now that I had to take him to the mental hospital yesterday. dad is no where to be fould and dads wife will not tell me how I can get hold of their dad to tell him i took him to a hospital. dad refuses to pay anything the court ordered him to being half health insurance half copayments, and also take parenting classes and take counseling through a program here where we live and he was to pay half of that also and he refuses to go even when i told him i will pay the whole thing. do i have to agree to this order tomorrow or can i request since dad is not helping with the teachers at school and not financially helping with their medical care( i was granted all rights to care for them medically cause dad wasnt doing it) can i request that they both be placed with me. dad has no structure in his house and i have heard dad and step mom screaming at each other putting my son down while i was talking to him when he called me begging me to pick him up after he told his step mom to let his dad ( who had kidney transplant and its rejecting ) sit out side in the cold and die. he heard them saying he is a bad child and I am worried about him. is there any possibility the judge will throw out this order that we were forced to agree upon by the court ordered guardian ad litem? can the judge just throw this agreement out and put them in my care? Try and get something from the hospital doctor's stating what is going on with your son, also what the doctor thinks is best for your son.
If nothing else have your attorney call for a postpoment due to your child's hospitalization.

I think you should contact www.nationalcasa.org and get someone to represent your child and ask them your questions, also.
A court can do what it wants,but may listen to doctor reports etc........
The court needs to know about death threats, etc...and your son needs guidance as he is way off track with all of this and his feelings.
Here are some ideas for you .......
Your son may do well, if you could find him someone he admires, who is older and into something that your son would like to do with his future.......and ask him to be a mentor......like a footballplayer, business person, basketball player..........someone who isnt his parents.............and who will help guide him.........
