Good luck.Custody changes how long do i have to wait to seek a change? You are supposed to APPEAL within a certain timeframe after the order of the court was issued.Custody changes how long do i have to wait to seek a change? This answer completely depends on just exactly why you lost custady and why you want it back now. As far as how long well I lost my son and 4 days later I had him back. If you willing gave up custody you may never get it back. If you had a problem which forced you give up custady then all you have to do is prove that you no longer have that problem which is what I did in just 4 days. Only because my son is truely the most important thing in my life which I proved in court 27 times and he has been with me full time now for the last 8 years. You will have to show that you have done this for at least a year. Courts don't like to move kids quickly so do everything in your power to make things right. Be prepared to have people coming into you home to investigate and show all of your time and money.
